Self-Development - Lesson - 4

If, instead of reading books, you find it interesting to view videos, there’s always YouTube to check. But before visiting YouTube, decide how much time (in minutes) you can afford to spend viewing videos. Limit your videos to 2 or 3 speakers for each aspect – such as self-esteem, procrastination, new habit formation, comfort zone etc. Videos are powerful because what you see and listen to stays in memory for a longer period than when you read. However, speaker’s accent may pose a problem. But the bigger problem is that you may go from one video to another –no doubt interesting like you surf TV channels – but may waste time there.

Once you feel improvement in your self-confidence, you’ll be eager to read more and more, learn more and more. By now, you’ll have gathered enough momentum to read and learn that you’ll put yourself on auto-pilot. If you feel that you are facing time constraint, read lessons on Time Management.
